The Associazione Amici di Rotecastello (Friends of Rotecastello Society),
established in 1995, exists to promote the village and territory of
Rotecastello, through membership and patronage from selected local,
regional and national sponsors.
Among the society's various activities, the most renowned is the medieval
festival which takes place in the month of August in the unique and
evocative setting of the village. The highlight of the festival is
the medieval procession featuring the marvellous costumes hand
crafted by the villagers, and the ancient music played in the
village main square.
The head office "Catia Galletti" is in Rotecastello. It is used
when the �Council of Rotecastello� meets or for some related
activity. As Rotecastellos� citizens
like to combine the useful with the delightful, this office is also
used for dinners and parties. In fact it has a great kitchen,
hygienic services and a room with stereo for music, tables and
chairs, that can give hospitality to about 30 peoples.
This office can be leased, also from people not members of the
Friends of Rotecastello Society.
Instead, if you want to be member of the Friends of
Rotecastello, and are able to take active part in the organisation
and realisation of "Agosto in Medioevo" (Medieval August),
and of all cultural initiatives organized from the society, you can
